GAS SAFETY TIPS

Install gas appliances in well-ventilated areas and maintain adequate ventilation

Open windows and doors for ventilation while cooking or operating a gas appliance.

Contact your gas retailer or engage a licensed gas service worker if you wish to have the gas pipes or gas appliance repaired or replaced.

In case of a gas leak:

Extinguish any cigarettes or naked flames.

Turn off the gas control valve at the gas meter.

Open all windows and doors to ventilate the area.

Do not switch on or off any electrical or light switches.

Do not try to detect the gas leak with a flame.

Do not use telephones in the area of a gas leak.

Leave the house if there is a strong smell of gas.
