“Drops of God,” a new drama series expected to feature Bae Yong Joon as the leading man, will be produced by the actor’s management agency, Keyeast Inc. The company recently said it has decided to produce the drama, slated for broadcast in the second half of 2009. It will be the first drama production for the company.
Drops of God is a phenomenally popular Japanese comic series written by Tadashi Agi and illustrated by Shu Okimoto that gave birth to a worldwide wine boom. Keyeast Inc, which recently bought the copyright for the Korean drama version of Drops of God, said it is looking for writers, directors and cast for the show, which is scheduled to air in the second half of next year. It added that there is a high chance that Bae will take on the leading role of Itse Tomine.
The company said Bae, who is still recovering from an injury he suffered while shooting “Taewangsashingi,” visits the office whenever he can to discuss the direction of the drama, and studies wine in his free time.

In early January the gossip columns of the Korean tabloid press found a new topic. Last December, Ho Su-gyong, a well-known TV celebrity gave birth to a nice healthy girl.
There was one thing special about this event. Ms.Ho is not married, and she conceived her daughter artificially. Merely 15 years ago such a decision would be unthinkable for a respectable woman. Nowadays, it still seems to be unusual, but the public is excited and positive about the news. This is yet another sign of the dramatic change in Korean family life.

The animated version of “Winter Sonata,” which will feature the voices of Bae Yong Jun and Choi Ji Woo, will go into production with an airing date tentatively scheduled for early next year.
The production company said the cast and crew of the series have recently been confirmed. They include the actual actors who starred in the drama series Winter Sonata and director Sung Baek Yeop, who created the animated series “Oseam.” The company said the animated series will be broadcast in Korea and Japan and that it is also considering producing a film version as well.

Actor Bae Yong Jun will collaborate with Nonghyup Korea and introduce Korea’s main staple, kimchi, to Japan.
Bae, who has been managing “Gosireh”–a traditional Korean restaurant located in Tokyo–since 2006, will begin selling “Gosireh Kimchi” starting September 4.
The kimchi, which uses only Korean ingredients and is made by Nonghyup Korea, will be sold for 600 yen per 300 grams in large supermarkets and Isetan Department Store in Japan.

Actor Bae Yong Joon is recuperating in a hospital after a recent shoulder surgery.
According to Bae’s management agency BOF, Bae received surgery for a pulled shoulder ligament in a hospital south of the Han River.
BOF said the surgery took around two hours and that the outcome is positive. The agency said Bae will remain in the hospital for about a week more.
Bae pulled his shoulder ligament and injured his knee while shooting MBC’s popular history drama series “Taewangsasingi” last year.

She was born blind and abandoned at birth. She is adopted by childless couple.
She suprised her adoptive parents by playing the piano suddenly without any prior training when she was 3.
She is now 6 years old.
