EZ-LINK will start selling its new ez-link smart cards from Monday.
This new smart card has been touted to be much more than its predecessor. Other than being able to pay for bus and train rides with it, cardholders would be able to use it to pay for items bought from 7-Eleven and MacDonald’s, as well as SMRT cab fares.
Eventually, the card can also be used for Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) and Electronic Parking System (EPS) carpark payments, said Ez-Link.
This is the Christmas light-up along Orchard Road in Singapore.

Although she has driven in Australia and New Zealand before, Pauline Chan professed to being a coward when it comes to taking her family on a road trip north.
“Malaysia is one of those places I’m not too sure about,” admitted the 48-year-old sales manager. “I don’t want to drive there on my own.”
Yet, as holidays abroad are becoming more expensive for families hit by the economic downturn, an instant getaway provided by a road trip has its appeal.
