KTM (Malayan Railway) station at Tanjong Pagar will be closing on 30 June 2011 (Thursday). It will be moved to Woodlands Train Checkpoint on 1 July 2011. Singapore will betaking over ownership of the railway land following a breakthrough land swop with Malaysia last year. The terminal building at Tanjong Pagar with with art deco that threads through Peninsular Malaysia has been gazetted as a national momument.
