By Dr Bill Maier Looking for the perfect gift for your children’s grandparents? Send them a personalised video story. All you need is a video camera, a few fun costumes, and a good sense of imagination. Start by having your children think of a short story or play that’s easy to tell. It could be a story from one of their children’s books, or one that they have made up on their own. Have them each dress up as one of the characters. Then film them telling or acting out the story. Encourage them to elaborate all they want, and to speak as if they were in front of a huge audience, like they were actors in a play. Children love pretending and telling stories, so it should not be hard to get them to perform.
