How to spend S$101 (you, big spender you) in a day   WHILE the Chinese have always visited Kunming for its pretty sights and pleasant weather, foreign travellers are only beginning to realise it's more than just a stopover to the more touristy Lijiang and Xianggelila. Surrounded by the Wumeng Mountain range and resting upon an elevated plateau, the City Of Eternal Spring, as it is known, enjoys temperate spring climate almost all year long. Seek refuge here if it's the scorching humid weather you're fleeing from. SERENE LIM       One-day Kunming Tour: S$51.51   Save yourself the trouble of figuring out how to traipse from one attraction to another. A round-trip ticket costs 30 yuan.       Dinner at The Brothers Jiang: S$10.12   Get a taste of the rapid urbanisation that has taken root in Kunming at The Jiang Brothers, an upmarket chain serving the famous local specialty Over The Bridge Rice Noodles - essentially a mix of small plates of tofu, squid, sliced meat and pork liver with rice noodles and steaming chicken broth.
